Hanuman in search of Seeta
The display put up by this mandal this year has been picked up from the epic Ramayana. The scene depicts Hanuman in search of Seeta in the Ashokvana in Lanka. Besides Hanuman and Seeta, the display has idols of monkeys and demons of the Ravana's army guarding Seeta. The scene shows how Hanuman, with the help of other monkeys, located Seeta and destroyed the Ashokvan. Founded in 1942 the mandal is lead by Nandkumar Chavan as the president. The mandal has also extended a donation and donated grains to the flood affected. |
