Hanuman tearing his Heart to display image of Lord Rama
Founded in 1946, the mandal has put up a display depicting a scene from Ramayana. The scene shows how Hanuman along with 14 members of his army singing devotional songs for Lord Rama. The idol is also shown tearing apart his heart to show the image of Rama inside. The 22 feet tall idol of Hanuman stands tall between those of Rama, Laxmana, Seeta and other monkeys. The mandal has flood relief activity in Sangli spending about 1.5 lakhs for the benefit of the flood-affected. Besides social activities like blood donation, the mandal conducts a programme for meritorious children in the vicinity. |

Mandal started putting up scenes for display since 1971. 'Nyayachi kadar'
(Awareness of justice), Shivrajyabhishek(coronation of King Shivaji, Shree Navnath darshan,
Gangavataran, Mohiravan were some of the appreciated ones. They got awards from PMC,
Shree Dagdu Sheth Halwai Trust, Shivsena Parvati.
