Holika and Bhakta Pralhad
Known for its traditional celebrations the mandal led by Ranjeet Shah has put up a scene depicting the origin of the festival of Holi. Depicted with six idols, the scene shows Holika seated of a pyre with Bhakta Pralhad on her lap. His father Hiranyakashyap tries to kill his son Bhakta Pralhad by throwing him into fire. The scene highlights how Lord Vishnu saves Pralhad and the festival of holi begins. |
