Raas Leela
Founded in 1950 and led by Prashant Badhe, the mandal is known for its tradition of display mythological stories with the help of moving idols and impressive narration. This year the mandal has used 20 idols with that of Shri Krishna in the center and his disciples involved in the Raas Leela around him. A beautiful idol of a peacock adds to the beauty of the display. The mandal has been installing a five feet tall idol of Ganesha every year. The mandal also organizes functions like sports meets and blood donation camps. The mandal has donated blankets and tents for the flood affected in Raigad district. |
