Scintillating display of Lights
One of the most popular Ganesh mandals on Karve road, the Shrikrishna Mandal is lead by the president Narendra alias Nana More. A huge pendal erected for the Ganesh festival has an illuminated display with 17,000 bulbs and 25 tube lights blinking to the tune of music played on the amplifiers. The mandal has also organized various cultural events to mark the festival besides its annual celebrations like Shiva Jayanti and function of social well being like distribution of books. This year the mandal has also extended a donation for the flood affected. |
