Social Display
Located in Gawliwada, the Mandal was founded in 1960 and is led by Arjun Jangavli. This year, the mandal has put up a social display creating awareness about the need to avoid misdeeds. The three-tier display shows how misdeeds lead to problems and ire of the godly. The display has been displayed with the help of 26 idols highlighting how tree cutting has led to natural calamities. The mandal has won the best prize for last year's display. The mandal is involved in activities like helping the varkaris, distributing books to the poor, holding health camps and blood donation camps. |
