Colorful Display of Musical Lights
Located on Deccan Gymkhana the mandal lead by Rajesh alias Pappu Shinde, has used 16,000 bulbs to put up a colorful display of musical lights. The mandal has also extended a donation of Rs 50,000 to the flood affected Ambai village in Chiplun. The mandal takes up various activities aimed at social upliftment of the residents of the area. Besides celebration of national festivals like the Republic Day and the Independence Day, the mandal takes up social activities like distribution of clothes and food to the poor. It was founded in 1923 before India’s independence and several of its volunteers included late freedom fighters. |
